Undergraduate Internship Program

Crystal

Crystal is an incoming third-year Landscape Architecture major at UC Davis, born and raised in San Jose, California. She has led collaborative design projects and developed sustainable spatial concepts that prioritize community well-being. Crystal joined the Courage Museum internship to apply her design skills toward creating inclusive and impactful spaces and resources. She is especially interested in work that encourages empathy, leadership, and meaningful youth engagement.

Eevee

Eevee is a youth leader, researcher, and mental health advocate dedicated to helping young people create meaningful change. She founded one of Vietnam’s first youth-led mental health initiatives, where she advanced mental health awareness through advocacy, education, and peer-centered engagement. Eevee joined the Courage Museum internship because she believes every young person deserves to grow up in a safe and supportive environment where they feel heard, valued, and empowered to lead. She hopes to continue supporting the next generation of compassionate leaders and changemakers.

Evelyn

Evelyn is an advocate for youth, education, dignity, and community empowerment. She has experience supporting youth-led initiatives that raise awareness, expand access to resources, and strengthen communities that have been historically underserved. Evelyn joined the Courage Museum internship to deepen her project design skills and contribute to an initiative that inspires young people to create change in themselves and their communities. She believes in the power of cooperation and in each person’s ability to become a changemaker.

Isabella

Isabella is a rising third-year student at UC Davis majoring in Human Development and Philosophy, with a minor in Public Health. She is passionate about the intersections of nonviolence, harm reduction, and community well-being. At UC Davis, Isabella is involved with the UCD Health Promotion team and volunteers at the Joan Viteri Memorial Clinic. She joined the Courage Museum internship because she was drawn to its interdisciplinary approach to understanding and advancing nonviolence.

jordyn

Jordyn is a Human Development major at UC Davis with a strong commitment to community, mental well-being, and volunteer service. As a teenager, she participated in service-based programs such as Scouting, where she developed confidence in leadership, public speaking, and advocacy. She now serves as Volunteer Coordinator for NAMI Yolo County. Jordyn was drawn to the Courage Museum’s vision of a safer future shaped by young leaders. She hopes to carry this work forward by supporting programs that help young people find their voice and give back to their communities.

julila

Julila joined the Courage Museum internship to help build and connect brave spaces where young people can grow up free from violence. She brings hands-on experience from volunteering with Fresh Focus Community Garden and will soon serve as an officer of the Sustainable Environmental Design Club. Through her coursework at UC Davis, Julila has been strengthening her skills in map drawing, development planning, and sustainable design. She is passionate about creating safer, more supportive spaces for the next generation.

julissa

Julissa is a Landscape Architecture student at UC Davis with experience in climate action, youth leadership, and community engagement. She is interested in how thoughtful design can strengthen community well-being and create spaces where people feel safe and connected. Julissa joined the Courage Museum internship to support the museum’s mission and help expand its impact. She hopes to contribute to spaces and experiences that encourage connection, youth leadership, and a future without violence.

savannah

Savannah is a youth case manager in transitional housing, student journalist, and recent first-generation college graduate. With a background in Human Development, she is interested in museum education, nonprofit work, and multidisciplinary approaches to youth development. Savannah joined the Courage Museum internship to strengthen her experience in program design and learn more about nonprofit operations. She plans to continue working with organizations that support civic engagement, community-led change, violence prevention, and open dialogue around social equity.

yi-xuan

Yi-Xuan is a Community and Regional Development student at UC Davis who is passionate about designing spaces that are livable, accessible, and equitable. She is interested in how culture, place, and community context shape the way spaces and systems are designed. Yi-Xuan joined the Courage Museum internship to turn user-informed research into real-world solutions that help young people engage with empathy, healing, and violence prevention. Her experience with community charrettes, geospatial analysis, and cultural events has strengthened her commitment to human-centered design and community resilience.
